The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s third season will debut on Amazon Prime on December 6, 2019.

Amazon released the official The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel trailer Monday and it looks like Midge Maisel is on the road to stardom.

Back for a third season, the acclaimed Amy Sherman-Palladino comedy will follow Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) and Susie (Alex Borstein) as they go on their second tour with dreamy crooner Shy Baldwin (Leroy McClain) as his opening act. But does that mean that their cast of supporting characters, fresh off Emmy wins, won’t be joining them?

I highlight doubt it, judging from the two-minute trailer.

Watch the trailer below.

To the soundtrack of Cabaret’s “Pretty Marvelous,” we see our girls living the high life – flying, not driving – to gigs, pulling up to the Beverly Hilton Hotel, sailing on yachts, performing for soldiers, and gallivanting with Shy.

“I am not a prostitute, I’m a comic,” Midge tells her parents (Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle) during one of the probable many arguments of the season.

“Is there a difference?” asks her mother. “Prostitutes get paid more,” Midge replies.

To which Saul replies, “Hilarious. You should go into comedy!”

Oh boy, I missed his dry, anxiety-ridden sense of humor.

Back to montages of tour stops in L.A., Chicago, the Fontainebleau in Miami, and Las Vegas, then finally, a glimpse of Sterling K. Brown in a role no one knows anything about. Also, did you happen to catch Liza Weil? She played Paris Geller on Sherman-Pallidino’s other hit show, Gilmore Girls.

We also see Lenny Bruce and Sophie Lennon, played by recent Emmy winners Luke Kirby and Jane Lynch, so I’m relieved to know they’ll be back.

dark. Next. 11 Netflix originals to binge in October

One major season 2 player missing from the trailer is Midge’s fiancé, Dr. Benjamin Ettenberg (Zachery Levi). We do, however, see quite a few scenes of her estranged husband, Joel (Michael Zegan). It leaves me to believe Benjamin is out and Joel is in. But she also screams, “For the first time I’m taking charge of my own destiny!” at someone, so maybe she’s with no one by season’s end.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel returns on Amazon December 6, so, you have plenty of time to binge-watch the first two seasons!
