Amazon’s The Boys gets a bloody season 2 trailer.

Would it be a Garth Ennis show without a wildly violent and crazy trailer? The Boys looks like it won’t be holding back in season 2, if you can even consider season 1 held back anything at all. While the new trailer did leak online earlier this week, Amazon has officially released the footage for fans.

Spoiler Warning: The Boys season 1 will be discussed below!

The trailer gives us little peeks into where the new season is going to pick up. However, the major plot point fans will want to see is how exactly Homelander (Antony Starr) will be dealing with his newfound freedom. After he said goodbye to Madelyn Stillwell (Elisabeth Shue) and her baby, the finale picked up with him discovering his own son as well as Butcher’s (Karl Urban) wife.

Based on a few scenes, it looks like Homelander and his son will bond a bit but the “hero” looks creepier than ever. There’s even a moment where he’s drinking breast milk, which hints he might miss Stillwell more than he thought. Meanwhile, Butcher can’t exactly be too thrilled to discover the wife he thought died is actually alive and had the baby of his worst enemy.

Other important scenes also are shown like A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) on life support after Starlight (Erin Moriarty) defeated him, whereas she seems to be soaking in the new benefits/downfalls of fame.

The series also stars Jack Quaid, Dominique McElligott, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Aya Cash, and Nathan Mitchell. Simon Pegg, Goran Višnjić, Claudia Doumit, and Jennifer Esposito all have major recurring roles.

There is no known premiere date for season 2 as of yet.
