The Arrowverse crossover introduced a bunch of new alternate Earths, and one of them is home to some familiar faces – those of DC Universe’s Titans.

It’s the biggest crossover imaginable! The Arrowverse’s ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ was teased at the end of the 2018 crossover, and it’s had people talking ever since. The hype peaked with every new announcement, including the multiple cameo and character additions. From Burt Ward, Kevin Conroy, the Smallville cast and Brandon Routh’s Superman, the crossover seemed to be a fitting homage to many of DC Comics’ live-action properties. But many were left wondering, what about Greg Berlanti’s other DC production, Titans.

There were some rumors that the Titans would appear in the crossover, and guess what, they do! Sort of. The first part of ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ on Supergirl opens with a montage of the Crisis event engulfing multiple earths. One of the universes shown is Earth-9, where Hank Hall/Hawk (Alan Ritchson) and Jason Todd/ Robin 2.0 (Curran Walters) from the Titans witness the red skies of Crisis. So, it’s finally official – the Titans are part of the Arrowverse, but they’re on an Earth which the heroes haven’t encountered yet.

But don’t get your hopes up for any potential crossovers between The CW and DC Universe shows, because it’s been confirmed that Earth-9 was destroyed in Crisis. We saw Hank flinching at bright light and Jason bracing for the impact of an anti-matter wave, so it appears the Titans were some of the casualties. How exactly will that pan out, though? The show is already preparing for a third season, which means the team is supposed to return.

Considering the fact that Supergirl’s Earth – Earth-38 – has also been destroyed, one wonders if the crossover will end with the Earths being recreated. The fifth season of Supergirl had plenty of plotlines left to explore, and it seems a shame to shunt it all simply for maximum impact. Same with Titans.

The easy way out is for the DC Universe executives to simply ignore the crossover and continue with their main season three storyline. The excitement still remains, though. Someday, perhaps, the Titans will meet the Arrowverse heroes. That’ll be an explosive meeting indeed.
