The Mandalorian season 2 will be back in 2020!

Thankfully, the hit Star Wars series won’t be off the air for too long. Deadline reports The Mandalorian season 2 will be returning sometime in Fall 2020. After the season 1 finale dropped on Disney+, Jon Favreau took to Twitter to announce the good news.

The Mandalorian debuted this November as one of the biggest hit new shows. Disney+ cemented itself as a must-have streaming service for any Star Wars fans looking to find a great new installment to the universe.

The series follows the titular character, The Mandalorian, who’s originally from Mandalore. Fans will know the planet as the original home of infamous characters of Boba and Jango Fett. However, the break out character is Baby Yoda, who has quickly become an internet sensation.

A lot of popular and big-budget shows have gone on relatively long hiatuses in order to maintain the quality. Game of ThronesStranger ThingsOutlander, and more have suffered from extended breaks which have left fans upset. However, Amazon has renewed Lord of the Rings series already to help season 2 production get a head start as well.

The series stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Julia Jones, Nick Nolte, Omid Abtahi, and Ming-Na Wen.
