Fargo season 4 promises to be one hell of a ride–and Chris Rock is at the center of it.

Fargo season 4 is finally making the progress we’ve been waiting for as FX released the latest trailer during their TCA panel this year. As reported by Deadline, FX gave all sorts of details at the panel regarding Fargo season 4, and it’s safe to say–we are going to be very satisfied.

While we may not know the nitty-gritty details about this season’s plot, the trailer gives us a sneak peek at the showdown between two criminal groups in 1950s Kansas City. The Italians and African Americans are at odds and the only way they manage to find a truce is by exchanging their youngest children with each other.

However, as we see in the trailer, the peace isn’t meant to last for very long. And this conflict and unrest are what will be the heart and soul of the fourth season. Are you as excited as I am?

Along with what seems like a riveting plot, Fargo season 4 also has one hell of a cast which includes, Jason Schwartzman, Ben Wishaw, and Jack Huston. Most recently, the series added Yellowstone’s Kelsey Asbille to the cast in a major role, as reported by Deadline.

And then, of course, we have Chris Rock.

According to showrunner Noah Hawley, Rock was his first choice for the titular role. And after watching the trailer above, I can absolutely see why.

"Once I had the idea, I immediately thought of [Rock]. I met with Chris and pitched what I wanted to do. It was or five months before I had the script. I was definitely writing for him in mind."

I don’t know about all of you but April 19th can’t come soon enough!
