Falcon and the Winter Soldier expands its cast!

Marvel’s highly anticipated Disney+ series continues to add to the cast. Deadline reports Carl Lumbly has joined Falcon and the Winter Soldier in an undisclosed role. However, fans are already beginning to speculate who the infamous genre actor could be playing.

At the moment, the most popular theory is that Lumbly will take on the role of Isaiah Bradley. The comic book character is fairly recent, only entering the Marvel comics in 2003. Bradley made his debut in Truth: Red, White, and Black where it was discovered he was a part of experiments on African-American soldiers. Based on the description, he is similar to Captain America in terms of powers but is described as a “tragic” character.

Meanwhile, Carl Lumbly has built up a massive resume in genre work. Currently, he recurs on the CW’s Supergirl as the father of Martian Manhunter, however, Lumbly actually served as the voice of Martian Manhunter in the animated Justice League. He’s also had roles in Netflix’s Altered Carbon and the cult classic, Alias. On top of that, Lumbly has appeared in many other television shows like This Is UsGod Friended MeThe ChiSIX, and Cagney & Lacey.
