The Witcher: Kim Bodnia is set to join season 2 of hit Netflix series
The Witcher season 2 cast continues to expand!
Coming from BBC’s hit series, Killing Eve, Kim Bodnia is set to join another popular show. According to Deadline, Bodnia will be in season 2 of Netflix’s hit new series, The Witcher.
The character Bodnia will play is named, Vesemir, a seasoned Witcher. In fact, his casting description claims Vesemir is the “oldest and wisest” of the Witchers. Not to mention, he has a close connection to Henry Cavill’s Geralt and is like a father to him.
However, Vesemir also survived the Massacre of Kaer Morhen which killed off most of the other Witchers. Living through that traumatic event has led him to overwhelmingly protective of those who survived as well.
The Witcher is one of Netflix’s most popular series and its hit new series. In fact, the series made the list of Netflix’s top series this year which was created shortly after the show premiered.
Bodnia is the eighth actor to join the second season alongside Yasen Atourn, Paul Bullion, Agnes Born, Aisha Fabienne Ross, Thue Ersted Rasmussen, Kristofer Hivju, and Mecia Simson. Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and Joey Batey are all the cast members expected to return as well.
There is no predicted premiere date for season 2. However, considering how expansive the show is, it could be a while for the series’ sophomore run.
