Stranger Things: Brett Gelman promoted to series regular in season 4
The conspiracy theories are about to get wilder on Stranger Things season 4!
Fans haven’t seen the last of Murray Bauman on the hit Netflix series. Deadline reports that Brett Gelman has been promoted to series regular for season 4 of Stranger Things.
The news comes on the recent heels of the previous announcement that Priah Ferguson had been upped to a regular for season 4 as well. These casting changes do seem to confirm that the series is looking to expand its universe and tell more stories with the supporting cast members. Murray Bauman was a journalist who eventually assisted Nancy and Jonathan in season two. His conspiracy theories were pretty entertaining and he provided some moments of levity in the series.
Brett Gelman is coming off a successful run on Amazon’s hit series, Fleabag. However, Gelman has a long acting resume of impressive television shows. This includes Netflix’s Love, Comedy Central’s Another Period, and the Showtime revival of Twin Peaks. He’s also be in a long list of movies including The Disaster Artist, Joshy, Wilson, and Room for Rent.
There is currently no confirmed date for Stranger Things season 4. Although, it seems like the season will premiere sometime in the late summer or the fall. However, a video released by Netflix did at least put fans at ease regarding the fate of a certain character in the season 3 finale.
Are you excited to see more of Gelman’s character next season? How do you think he’ll factor into the plot? Be sure to tell us in the comment section below!
