Space Force: Netflix drops the official teaser for upcoming comedy series

We finally have the official teaser for the new Netflix comedy Space Force starring Steve Carrell. Get a glimpse at the hilarious new show.
On May 29, Netflix will debut the first season of its new Steve Carrell comedy, Space Force. Carrell is reuniting with The Office showrunner Greg Daniels for the new series. Today, TVLine reports that they’ve debuted the first official teaser, which feels full of promise.
Carrell is progressing from Michael Scott, the branch manager of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company to Mark R. Naird, a four-star general who is saddled with the herculean task of assembling the latest military branch — the Space Force.
No one takes the idea of the “Space Force” seriously, including Mark, who feels like he is being punished. While he is thrilled at the thought of running a branch, he doesn’t anticipate the challenges of this specific job.

The teaser shows that he’ll have a hard time getting his team members to take him seriously, with good reason since at one point, we see a giant rocket prototype burst into flame. Mark is told the rocket cost as much as “four middle schools.”
The teaser doesn’t contain a lot of jokes, but it does tease a confident vibe and a competent cast of characters.
Jane Lynch, Lisa Kudrow, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, and more will assemble alongside Carrell to bring this new project to life.
Booksmart actress Diana Silvers and Fantasy Island star Jimmy O. Yang also briefly appear in the teaser. It looks like Kudrow might be playing Carrell’s wife, and Silvers seems to be his daughter.
