Tiago and Molly try to escape their lives for a day

I’m pretty sure everyone noticed those sparks flying between Tiago and Molly in last week’s episode; it gets even more electric between the two during “Wicked Old World.” With Sister Molly sneaking out and Tiago being forced to take a day off, the two manage to meet up. During a conversation about wanting to escape who they are, the two decide to take a trip to Santa Monica Pier.

However, the two are not alone, as Adelaide requested that Randolph follows her daughter. Clearly, this family is hiding something. After getting kissed by Tiago, Molly returns home to a mother who makes sure that her daughter knows that she has been busted.

Tiago might not be considering this to be the second-best day of his life for long, because once he meets up with his partner, Michener, he’s told that Sister Molly was sleeping with Mr. Hazlett and now she’s considered a suspect in the case. Tiago informs his partner that, regardless of this newfound information, he still believes Molly’s spiel.

Councilwoman Beck vs. Townsend

Alex, one of Magda’s many characters, is still at Townsend’s side as he attempts to get into mayoral shape. During his workout, Alex gives Townsend a lecture on how he must behave himself, and not give anyone any ammunition to go against him. This conversation is cut short when Councilwoman Beck arrives demanding to talk.

Beck lets him know that if he wants war then he’s got one; she refuses to let him create a new Third Reich, and that there’s no way she’ll let him name the new highway Maynard West Memorial.

Angered, Townsend and Alex go to meet with Mr. Goss. After explaining the conflict, Townsend forcefully requests that Mr. Goss has her killed. Goss tells him not to forget who’s running the show and that he speaks for Adolf Hitler: “You’re either on our side or under our boots.”

Townsend exits, with Alex following at his heels in hopes to stop him from doing anything unbecoming. Ignoring her, he drives off where he heads to a hotspot for gay hookups. His episode’s conclusion ends with him heading around back with another man.
