The Sinner Season 4: Who will play the lead role?

The Sinner Season 4 is officially a go!
The Sinner Season 4 is officially happening, according to TVLine, and I for one cannot contain my enthusiasm over it. Over the past three seasons, we’ve seen some wild and crazy mysteries play out with Jessica Biel, Carrie Coon, and Matt Bomer as the leads.
The “whydunnit” angle of The Sinner has made it stand out as a drama/thriller series and pulled viewers into the heart of all its darkness.
Who will play the lead in The Sinner Season 4?
Ah, now that’s a question that is on all of our minds. The leading sinners have left a lot for whoever comes next to live up to, but luckily whoever it is will have Biel there to guide him or her as she continues to stay on as an executive producer.

I’ve been thinking long and hard about who might be the next “sinner” to take on the lead role, and I’ve come up with some solid suggestions. When I think of dark and broody with a touch of scary and frightening my mind immediately goes to the likes of Christian Slater.
Just think about it, he’s a USA Network alum after being on Mr. Robot and Dirty John Season 2, has the perfect combination of all things required of a lead for The Sinner. He’s most definitely my first choice!
Another potential contender in my opinion? Darren Criss. If you watched American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace then you know he has it in him to bring the terror and fear that most often comes with being a lead on The Sinner.
Luther and The Affair’s Ruth Wilson is another that comes to mind. I can totally see her taking on the lead in The Sinner Season 4. She’s got all the right tools in her pocket to bring to a show like this so I’d love to see her be the lead.
Penn Badgley of YOU and Gossip Girl is another great potential choice, but given that he already has a role that requires him to be as creepy as possible, I think he may be more of a wild card for The Sinner Season 4. But he would be amazing at it, wouldn’t he?
