Raised by Wolves gets an epic official trailer.

It feels like it has been ages since we’ve heard anything about Raised by Wolves, the next high-profile project from acclaimed director Ridley Scott.

Originally slated for TNT, the project got shuffled around at Warner Bros. until it wound up on the HBO Max slate. Finally, we have an epic trailer for what looks to be a high-brow, prestige, sci-fi show.

It is hard to figure out where to begin when looking at the trailer, which is focused on some kind of epic clash between humanity and androids — per TVLine.

For those who don’t know, this project will be Scott’s directorial debut for television, which is exciting. I love to see what visionary filmmakers can bring to storytelling when they have hours upon hours to build on a concept.

Raised by Wolves revolves around two androids who raise human children on a strange unknown planet. But then the new humans start to have ideological differences that cause serious conflict. The androids start to understand how difficult it can be to control humans.

Raised by Wolves gets some crazy key art.

Along with the new trailer, HBO Max also released the key art for Raised by Wolves. The trippy image seems to show Collins’s android holding a human fetus, with an electronic-looking umbilical cord connecting to the two entities together.

When will Raised by Wolves be released?

Unfortunately, we still have a bit to wait before the new series is released. Raised by Wolves is currently slated for an early September release, arriving on the streaming platform beginning on September 3.

It seems like the show will drop all ten episodes of its first season at once, with Scott directing the first episode. Travis Fimmel of Vikings fame stars along with Abubakar Salim and Amanda Collins playing the two central androids.
