‘Truth Seekers’ Episode 3 recap: ‘The Girl with All the Ghosts’

Truth Seekers Episode 3: Who is the girl with all the ghosts?

When we last left the Amazon Original Truth Seekers, Gus and Elton were startled by a woman that claims she is being followed by ghosts! What will they do? How can they help? Truth Seekers Episode 3 begins in medieval times. Two men, the author, and the seller are talking about a book. The author is saying that there will only be one book and that no other copies should be made. He also says the book is magical.

Men walk in and grab the book. They rip one page out of the book and kill the seller. Then they take the author. A woman comes in next, takes the rest of the book, and walks away.

Next, we follow up with Gus, Elton, and the mysterious woman whose name is is Astrid. They are asking her questions about her life. She is recounting the events from the first episode in which her house was on fire. Gus puts Astrid in a chair and starts to ask questions. He is trying to relax her so that he can talk to Astrid’s subconscious.

He is able to connect to her subconscious and asks her about the ghosts. He tried to use a machine on her, but the machine blew out of his hands. This can’t be good.

All three of them fall asleep at Gus’s house and are awaken by Richard. He is trying to send a video message. Perhaps to Elton’s sister. Gus, Elton, and Astrid all go to Smyle. They lie about who Astrid is, but they get their next assignment.

They drive to a mobile home. Gus and Elton go inside, but Astrid is drawn to something on the outside. It is the same main black crow looking creature that she sees and it is in the field.

Astrid is then called inside by Gus goes inside. The woman in the mobile home is into the supernatural. She has the book from the beginning of the episode in a glass case.

She and Gus talk about the book and both seem to know a lot about it.

Astrid is then asked to lie down and they start. Right after they begin, the whole home and everything around it starts to shake. The lights begin going in and out. The psychic says that this is beyond her and nobody can help. During the shaking, the glass case to the book shatters.

Gus, Elton, and Astrid are driving, and when Astrid mentions she has nowhere to go. Elton says that Astrid can stay with him, but Elton’s sister Helen is not in agreement.

During the shuffle at the mobile home, Gus must have swiped the book. He is now going through it at his house. Gus immediately calls Elton and says that he is coming to pick them up right now.

Truth Seekers Episode 3 recap: Answers at the hospital

Gus, Elton, and Astrid are in the Smyle van and are now at the hospital that Astrid described. They begin to walk the halls and Astrid leads the way. Elton and Gus make Astrid sit in a room alone, as that is what the magical book said to do. Gus sits in the nurse’s station and starts to read a spell from the book.

The power in the hospital starts to flicker and then Elton realizes that something is in the room with Astrid. In the middle of the reading, Gus gets up and starts following something. Elton is forced to pick up the book and continue reading. Elton finishes the reading and the spirits go away.

Elton then asks Gus why Gus walked away while reading the spell. Gus said he thought he saw someone he knew. Perhaps his wife? We don’t know! All we know so far is that all three of them are safe and back at Gus’s house.

Truth Seekers Episode 3: Final Thoughts

I have a feeling that more is yet to come. I thought that solving Astrid’s ghost problem would be the big finale, but I stood corrected.

I already noticed some loose ends from the first two episodes. Perhaps they will tie them all up at the end. The big piece to this episode was the original page that was ripped out. Why was it ripped out and will that come back before the season ends?

Overall, I would rate this episode a B-. It gave me some great, witchy vibes and answered a huge question from the first two episodes.
