Daisy channels her inner rich girl while planning the Harvest Dance in Saved by the Bell Episode 4.

It’s that time of year where the student class president must plan *The* Harvest Dance, an annual event to celebrate the fall that all students take very seriously. Daisy begins Saved by the Bell Episode 4 not caring about a silly school dance, but then she gets a taste of what it’s like to be a rich girl, and that all changes.

At Bayside High, the student council gets $10,000 to plan the Harvest Dance. Daisy, smartly, assumes they can spend wisely and save the rest of the cash for something worthwhile. Her ideas include letting Principal Toddman’s cover band The Birchwood Boys perform and skipping the catering for a potluck-style snack table. When Mac discovers Daisy’s plan — mainly the band she chose — he immediately interrupts the meeting to nip it in the bud.

One of the volunteers mentions that Mac is sorta right. If they don’t spend the budget, it’ll just get removed, so there is no point in being cheap. But Daisy doesn’t know where to begin spending 10k on a school dance. Luckily, Mac has some ideas. He teaches her how to channel her inner rich girl. They go on an epic shopping spree for decorations armed with a new motto: “We can do better.”

The shopping and excess go to Daisy’s head. Back at the gym, she starts snapping at the volunteers and criticizing their decorating skills. Eventually, they all quit. Mac saves the day with his money by inviting Post Malone to perform instead of Toddman and bribing the volunteers to return so they can make the gym look epic. Daisy is shocked that she can get away with everything with money. As Mac calls it, that’s the circle of wealth! And there’s a great lesson on privilege.

But Daisy’s moral compass won’t allow her to sit idly by without apologizing. When Mac takes the stage to introduce Post Malone, Daisy interrupts to apologize to the volunteers for her earlier behavior. She also invites The Birchwood Boys to perform, abandoning their Post Malone plan. It turns out to be a good idea since Mac later tells her the singer was never there. Daisy asks what he would have done had she not interrupted. “I don’t know. I guess it’s a good thing you did.” It looks like some sparks might be flying between these two.

Saved by the Bell Season 1, Episode 4 recap: Lexi gives Devante acting lessons.

While the dance shenanigans are ongoing, Devante starts rehearsal for the fall musical. He’s got the singing part down, but his acting abilities are still a work in progress. The main problem is that he isn’t trying at all. Lexi offers to take Devante to acting class and help him brush up his skills, but he continuously blows her off.

We learn that the reason why is because Devante doesn’t want to seem like he’s changing when he hangs out with his old friends from Douglas. During their video game hangouts, they talk about being split up between the different schools and changing as they learn new things. His friends would rather things stay the same, so Devante tries to hide his musical involvement. He does feel guilty enough to show up at one rehearsal with Lexi.

She tries to engage him in an acting exercise that would require him to look a little silly. Devante gets frustrated with her and admits he doesn’t want people to see him as a joke. Lexi wonders if that’s how he sees her, and Devante says it is. Stung, Lexi tells him maybe it would be best if he quit.

At the next hangout with his friends, Devante happens to see Lexi’s E! special about her transition. In the documentary, she says one thing she fears is having her classmates look at her differently or think she’s a joke. Devante immediately realizes he messed up and is also inspired by Lexi’s message. He apologizes to her at school, and they even perform a small skit in the middle of the hallway where everyone can see. It’s a start!

In Saved by the Bell Episode 4, Lexi finally starts to explore the idea of asking Jamie out but chickens out at the last second. She’s disheartened when she later discovers he has invited Aisha to the Harvest Dance. It looks like a little love triangle might be brewing.
