Even though HBO Max’s show The Flight Attendant only premiered in late November 2020, it has already been given the go-ahead to make a second season. However, due to the coronavirus, it might take longer than expected for that season to be released. If you simply cannot wait to see what happens and want to explore the story further, the book is a great way to keep up the story while you wait.

The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today best-selling book of the same name by Chris Bohjalian was only published in early 2018 so we won’t fault you if you haven’t read it yet. Just like in the show, the book follows a flight attendant named Cassandra (Kaley Cuoco’s Cassie) who binge drinks and has sex with strangers, sometimes on occasion passengers from her previous flight. Much like the show, Cassandra wakes up the next day after a night of too much drinking with a stranger to find him dead in the hotel room they shared.

However, in the show, this layover is in Bangkok while in the book it is in Dubai. In both stories, Cassandra is afraid to call the police which leads her to lie to the FBI as she tries to piece together the night of what happened while worrying about who did kill her previous passenger if it wasn’t her.

Both stories are filled with spies, suspense, and intrigue in this who-done-it thriller. Though there are some differences between the book and the show I don’t want to spoil either for you since those are major plot points you wouldn’t want to miss out on.

If you can’t wait to devour this book, make sure to get it on Amazon for $25 and enjoy the show all over again as you wait for the second season to arrive.
