Saturday Night Live will return with new episodes on January 30, kicking off with John Krasinski as the host and Machine Gun Kelly as the musical guest, Variety reports. Apart from Krasinski, the long-running sketch comedy show has also announced additional hosts and musical guests, including Dan Levy, Phoebe Bridgers, Regina King and Nathaniel Rateliff.

Levy is coming off an exceptional 2020 with Schitt’s Creek receiving a landslide of awards at last year’s Primetime Emmy’s after the show’s final season aired. Levy not only starred in the hit comedy series but also served as its co-creator. He’ll host the February 6 episode along with Bridgers serving as the musical guest.

On February 13, King will host with Rateliff serving as her musical guest. King recently made her big-screen directorial debut with One Night in Miami, which is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.

All three hosts and musical guests are making their Saturday Night Live debuts.

The best part about this announcement is that all three upcoming hosts are newcomers to Saturday Night Live. King, Levy and Krasinski will all be making their first-time debuts as hosts. It’s particularly surprising Krasinski because he previously starred on NBC’s long-running sitcom The Office. He also hosted the Some Good News segment for Peacock TV during the pandemic and has his new film A Quiet Place: Part II — which he has returned as director for — to promote.

Kelly, Rateliff and Bridgers will also be marking their first official musical guest appearances on the series.

According to the publication, Saturday Night Live will run consecutive new episodes Saturdays through February 20 and 27, but no word on who the hosts or musical guests will be for those shows just yet. I’m guessing NBC will announce the next round of hosts within the first few weeks of February.
