Daphne and Simon’s marriage began strong, with the two barely spending a moment away from each other. However, all of it came to a halt when Daphne learned that Simon did not want to have children instead of being unable to.

After their spat, the two begin to ignore the other while trying to appear like a happily wedded couple in front of others; as their anger and grief towards each other grew, the idea of a happily ever after seemed near nonexistent.

That is until they both finally talk about their feelings in the rain and how they do not wish their marriage to end. They admit that they still love each other and want to fight for their marriage.

This moment of forgiveness to each other leads to a night of passion and results in their son’s birth several months later.

Throughout the season, it was apparent that Daphne and Simon truly loved each other. What started as simple glances became a friendship and, soon after, an undying love.
