In the previous episode of All American, Spencer finally tells Coop how he feels about her. What will Coop do? Will she understand?

This episode begins with Spencer driving out to the cabin that his dad was at before he passed. Spencer is walking around and having flashbacks to the weekend they spent there.

In Beverly, Layla and Olivia are having breakfast together. Layla says she is hiding out from Coop for a little bit because of what happened between Coop and Spencer. Olivia says that she and Asher have a fun weekend planned. Olivia mentions that maybe Layla should join Spencer, so he isn’t alone.

Coop shows up at Spencer’s house to chat, and Grace invites her in. Grace gives Coop a pep talk on how she knows Spencer and Coop will be friends again. Coop doesn’t believe her.

Spencer goes into the cabin, and Layla shows up with the whole Beverly team to help out.

All American Season 3, Episode 6 recap: What will happen at the cabin?

Spencer is grateful that Layla brought everyone up to help. Layla mentions that it was Olivia’s idea.

Billy shows up at the Baker house to fix up some of the problems in the house. Laura seems happy that he is there.

Spencer and the boys are going through the things in the cabin. Spencer happens upon a box, but we don’t know what is inside.

Layla walks into the cabin, and Spencer shares that his father had left them birthday letters in the box. He doesn’t know if he should read them, and Layla says that the letters aren’t going anywhere.

In Crenshaw, Coop is talking to Patience about what happened between her and Spencer. Patience’s phone is ringing off the hook. The girl that was going to take her song keeps calling her. Patience then tells Coop to go to the cabin and talk to Spencer.

Simone is working on her college essays by the water, and Jordan comes over. He notices that she is applying to colleges on the east coast. Simone shares that she was once an amazing tennis player and wants to go back.

Spencer is walking through the woods while reading one of the letters his dad wrote. It turns out they were not sent for a reason.

Back in Beverly, Laura and Billy are reminiscing about their past and why Billy still can’t fix anything.

Olivia notices Spencer sitting alone by the water. He starts to talk about the letters and how his dad blames his mom. Layla and Asher notice that Olivia and Spencer seem pretty close.

Olivia tells Spencer to read more than one letter and reassures him that he is strong enough to handle what is in them.

In Crenshaw, Patience meets with the other artist, Lil Jewel. Lil Jewel says that she never knew the song was stolen and asks Patience to go on tour with her.

At the cabin, Spencer continuesreading the letters and starts to see the other side of his father. The kinder side.

Olivia asks Asher if she can help him with dinner, and Asher digs in about the time she spends with Spencer. This leaves them a little rocky for the evening of games ahead.

All American Season 3, Episode 6 Recap: What can go wrong?

It is now nighttime, and the group has made a campfire. They start playing “Never Have I Ever,” but with jalapeno pickle juice. Things are getting interesting.

And then things start to blow up pretty quickly. They all start to tell each other’s secrets to the rest of the group.

Simone and Jordan end up fighting. Layla tells Asher that Olivia was in Mexico. Vanessa lets out that Olivia had been in Las Vegas. Then Coop shows up and is mad that Spencer isn’t alone.

In Beverly, Laura and Billy are still trying to fix the garbage disposal. Laura wants to call someone, but Billy wants to keep going. They finally fixed it and are now having a drink together.

Coop yells at Spencer for butting into her business with Tyrone in the first place. Asher confronts Olivia doing the same thing. Olivia and Spencer share one commonality, they both want to help the people around them but are struggling to find out how.

In the end, Olivia and Asher end up breaking up. Coop also ends her and Spencer’s friendship.

Spencer is standing on the porch, and Layla comes out to talk to him about Coop. Layla goes to the car because they are all leaving. Spencer reads one last letter from his father.

On the way home, Jordan apologizes to Simone. Jordan lays it all out there, and they make up.

Spencer and Layla drive home in silence. When they get home, Layla asks Spencer about what really happened in Las Vegas over the summer.
