Is there a new episode of Big Sky on tonight, Feb. 23?
By Mads Lennon
After last week’s shocking episode of Big Sky Season 1, it’s understandable that everyone wants to know when the next episode will air! Unfortunately, Big Sky is currently on another hiatus that won’t let up for a while.
When we left off with the series, the mystery appeared to be mostly wrapped, apart from one glaring loose end: Ronald Pergman escaped into the night. At least Rick Legarski is finally dead after his wife Merilee reached her breaking point and bludgeoned him with a hammer!
As for Ronald, don’t expect Cassie and Jenny to sit idly by and let him go free. He killed two people and kidnapped far more. His story isn’t yet over. However, you shouldn’t expect the remainder of Big Sky Season 1 to focus entirely on the cat-and-mouse game between Ronald and our two leads, either.
We previously reported that Big Sky had cast Michelle Forbes, Britt Robertson, Michael Raymond-Jones, and several more yet-to-be-introduced Kleinsasser family members. Expect them to play an important role when the series returns from its hiatus.
Big Sky Season 1 is currently on hiatus, with a return date set for April.
The freshman season of ABC’s breakout crime drama is currently slated to return on Tuesday, April 13! Why such a long wait after the show just returned from a December hiatus? It’s not totally unprecedented, but ABC is also being crafty about managing their schedule in the wake of the pandemic. Also, they ordered additional scripts for the first season, so this gives the show time to continue work on the back half of the season.
As you’ll see from the promo for Big Sky Season 1, Episode 10 below, the remaining seven episodes will follow a new mystery with supposedly “even bigger twists” and surprises. As for Ronald, Jenny and Cassie will continue their hunt for him, but it seems like the chase will be relegated to the back burner as we start meeting these new characters.
New episodes of Big Sky Season 1 return to ABC on Tuesday, April 13 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
