According to a new Deadline exclusive, Big Sky on ABC is hard at work on fleshing out its additional six episodes. And that includes casting a host of familiar faces as exciting new characters for the remainder of the 16-episode season.

The cast additions include five recurring guest stars, including Michelle Forbes, Britt Robertson, Ryan Dorsey, Omar Metwally and Michael Raymond-Jones. Apart from the guest stars, Ted Levine has also boarded the series as a regular.

Considering there are ten episodes left of the freshman series of Big Sky on ABC, we should start to see some of these characters within the next few episodes. I’m guessing that the guest stars might be part of a new plotline that’s sure to start unfolding once we get the Ronald/Rick plot officially wrapped.

Who will each of the new cast members play in Big Sky on ABC?

Most of the newcomers are part of the yet-to-be-introduced Kleinsasser family. Levine, who is probably best known for his portrayal of Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs, will play powerful ranch owner Horst Kleinsasser while The I-Land star Kyle Schmid will recur as his second-born son John Wayne.

Forbes (The Killing, True Blood) will play family matriarch Margaret. While she might look like the perfect, rosy-cheeked homemaker on the surface, Margaret is more than your average ranch wife.

Former Secret Circle and For the People star Robertson has been tapped to play Kleinsasser’s daughter Cheyenne. Once daddy’s little girl, Cheyenne ran off and made some poor choices. The men on the ranch don’t often take her ideas seriously.

Filling out the Kleinsasser family is Raymond-James (Once Upon a Time) as first-born son Blake and Dorsey (Stumptown) as the youngest son Rand. Blake left the ranch behind for city life but gets yanked back into the family when he returns home. Rand is smart and quiet but seems tormented by his complicated relationship with his mother Margaret. Deadline describes Rand as someone who “loves his mother and hates her in equal parts,” which sounds very similar to the relationship Ronald has with his mother.

Funnily enough, both Forbes and Raymond-James starred as villains in True Blood. It’ll be interesting to see them playing mother and son on this show.

Finally, we have Metwally (The Affair) playing Deputy U.S. Marshal Frank Lindor. Frank is known for being incredibly brash with a caustic sense of humor. Let’s just hope he doesn’t turn out to be as nefarious as Rick!
