In the previous episode of Manifest, we find out that the returned may have, in fact, died in the plane crash 5 years ago. What does this mean for them all?

We begin with someone covering a body. It is a clean-up crew from The Major’s death. The police officer walks up to the garbage truck, and he gives the officer a story and gets her to drop the charge.

Vasquez shows up at some woman’s brownstone. It is the woman that called in the noise complaint the night The Major died. She took pictures the night she filed the complaint.

Michaela and Drea are in uniform going after Jace. They get inside, but they find blood on the walls. He is obsessed with the returned like they all are. Michaela gets a calling that comes right off the wall.

Manifest Season 3 Episode 5: What does Michaela’s calling mean?

Michaela walks away, and Drea asks what she saw. Michaela tells her about the callings from God. Drea quickly accepts the callings and is going to help Michaela.

Angelina is talking to Pete. Pete thinks that they are going to die. His death date is tomorrow.

Pete thinks the calling he is supposed to follow isn’t good. The police then take him away to be relocated before he can say anything else.

Michaela, Olive, and Ben are in the garage looking at pictures. Michaela tells them that she thinks Jace is after them.

Olive brings attention to the picture and the drawings. She thinks these symbols are from the canvas. Olive then tells the group that Pete has been moved.

Ben thinks Vance is behind this.

Vasquez is talking to Sarah about her mother’s disappearance. He shows her the pictures the complainant gave him of the garbage truck.

Michaela and Zeke go to talk to Kory. Zeke gets a feeling from him and knows he is telling the truth. They then ask him about the symbols. Kory then tells him about a calling. He knows they are dying, and Michaela was there.

He then blurts out that Jace is going to kill Michaela.

Pete is in Vance’s hands. They want to run tests on him, but Ben wants to talk to him about the callings.

Meanwhile, Vasquez hunts down the garbage truck company. He talks to a manager, and he tells Vasquez that a private company sent the driver that night and that it is classified.

In Vance’s headquarters, Dr. Gupta says that Pete needs to be studied. Ben is trying to tell Vance that he needs Pete to help save Michaela, but they don’t want to hear it.

Grace is still at his brother’s cabin. He wants to open an 828 themed restaurant, but Grace isn’t into it.

Ben gets in to talk to Pete. He wants Pete to help him save Michaela and reminds him of his death date. Pete then tells Ben that the calling wants them to hurt her.

Ben doesn’t think that this is the real meaning of the calling.

Manifest Season 3 Episode 5: Does the calling want Michaela dead?

Michaela and Zeke are still by Kory’s hospital room. Drea calls Michaela. Jace went to Michaela’s old apartment, thinking she was there and stabbed the girl inside.

Olive is studying the picture of the blood paintings. When Levi comes in, he is teaching her about the symbols. He realizes that the symbols from Olive’s picture match the canvas they have been putting back together.

We then cut to Pete and Ben. He tells Ben that Jace can’t be stopped.

Grace’s brother, Tarik, is in the bar talking about his 828 flight restaurant idea when a patron takes an interest in their conversation. So much for flying under the radar.

Michaela calls Vasquez and asks for extra men, but Vasquez won’t give them to her. He is going to send a patrol unit.

As Vasquez is leaving, the garbage truck driver shows up as an agent and asks Jared to get into the car. Saanvi sees this and tries to run after him, but she is too late.

Olive and Levi are working on the canvas again. They are trying to match the picture. Instead, they find a story of three men, “The Last Trial.” It mimics what is happening with the meth heads.

Olive immediately calls Ben. She tells him that the calling is about free will and making the right choice.

Ben goes back to Pete and asks where the calling took place. They have to go back to the lake.

Michaela and Zeke are at home when there is a banging by the back door. Someone is trying to get in. It is the nurse there to look after Beverly. Michaela gets a call and is going to the lake with Zeke.

Saanvi goes to Vance and yells at him about Jared. Vance shows Jared in an interrogation room. Someone goes in and tells him to drop it. Jared is told that Fitz had been murdered. The agent gives Jared a fake story, but will he believe it?

Ben tells Pete that he has to go with him to the lake. Will he be able to go?

He goes to Vance and Dr. Gupta to ask for his release for a short period of time, and Vance agrees. They have 4 hours.

Vasquez goes back to Sarah and tells her the news. She is okay with finally knowing the truth.

Up by the lake, Michaela and Zeke are gearing up to hunt for Jace.

At the Stone house, Ben and Pete come inside to an awake Angelina. This is the first time they actually get to be together.

At Tarik’s house, the man who overheard him at the bar posts an article about how Grace and Cal are being hidden away.

As Michaela and Zeke go deeper into the woods, Zeke can start to sense Jace’s anger. They are walking toward a campfire when Michaela turns around to Zeke, but he isn’t there.
