All American Season 3, Episode 13 recap: Bring The Noise

In the previous episode of All American, Spencer and the team forfeited their place in the playoffs to fight social injustice. What does this mean for Spencer’s college career?

This episode starts in Crenshaw. Billy is talking to one of the players about the fact that they gave up their playoff spot. Billy wants to play a scrimmage soon so that scouts can come to watch.

Spencer walks through the door of his house, and Grace is making breakfast for the boys. She has received a letter from her college. She has graduated, and now the boys want to throw her a celebration.

Spencer is now at the cafe in Beverly. He wants Olivia to help him plan his mom’s party. Just then, she gets a notification on her phone that the cops that killed Tamika were fired.

All American Season 3, Episode 13: What will Olivia and Spencer do next?

Olivia goes to her mother and says that she wants to help to get the police officers indicted. Laura has to say that she can’t help because she has already made it more difficult.

Preach is talking to Coop. He made a “Coop” t-shirt and wants to create merchandise for her. He needs some money to get started. Coop says that she will try to get some.

Olivia and Spencer are planning the party when the recent actions of Spencer and Olivia are being broadcast on the news.

Asher is with his mother at the cafe, and Vanessa comes up. She wants to study with Asher. Asher’s mother thinks they are more than friends, and Asher denies it. Then she says that she is getting remarried.

Coop goes to talk to Layla to ask for some money for Preach. Layla does not entirely like the situation but invites Preach over to discuss it.

Billy goes to Coach Montes to ask her for a scrimmage, but she denies him because she doesn’t want her players to get hurt.

Olivia and Spencer are at the Baker house. Olivia is reading the comment section of a news article and is getting discouraged from all of the negative comments about herself. Spencer reassures her that she is doing the right thing and not let the comments get to her.

Jordan goes to Coach Montes about the scrimmage. He tells her that the team has all already decided that they are going to do it off-campus. So, he is giving her the option to join them.

Jordan then goes to see his dad. He tells him that the Eagles will play and that Montes is in. Principal Carter then sends Billy a text that he can’t use the field.

All American Season 3, Episode 13: Where will they hold the scrimmage?

Olivia and Spencer finish making the cake for his mother. Olivia’s phone goes off, and they run out of the house. Someone has vandalized a “Justice for Tamika” poster but throwing a rock through a window at the cafe.

They go inside the cafe. Asher tells them that the person that did it was fired up. Spencer wants to move his mother’s party away from the cafe. Asher offers up his future step-father’s restaurant.

Billy goes to see Principal Carter. He drops off letters that the students have written throughout the school year to convince him to give them the field. Carter brings up the fight that Billy and he got into in high school. Billy explains why he was angry, and Carter still can’t see past it.

Preach meets with Layla and Coop, but Layla questions Preach about his plan. This makes Preach angry, and he leaves. He tells Coop not to sell out to Layla and to do what she wants with her career.

Principal Carter sees Grace in the coffee shop. Grace gives him an earful about the football program. Carter tries to justify his anger, but Grace tells him that he and Billy need to figure it out.

Spencer and Dillon bring Grace to the restaurant. They put a cap and gown on her, and it is now a celebration.

Asher and Vanessa are there. Vanessa is giving Asher a pep talk to talk to his future step-father, Jacob. He tries to talk to him but gets frustrated and walks away.

Coop is also there. Things are still awkward between Spencer and Coop, but they are both happy she is there.

Grace and Billy talk about Principal Carter. Grace has invited him so that he and Billy can talk. Carter has given Billy the field for the scrimmage.

Coop sits down with Grace. Grace is worried about her and tells her to come around more. Layla calls Coop’s phone. They are talking about Preach. Coop mentions that she is at Grace’s graduation party. Layla is upset that she wasn’t invited.

Spencer and Dillon give a toast to their mother. He reminds everyone that the good deserves to be celebrated and that they are proud of her accomplishments.

All American Season 3, Episode 13: Time for the scrimmage.

Vanessa catches Asher before the game. Asher tells her that he has feelings for her, but he wants to focus on football. She is extremely understanding.

Coop sits down with Preach. She wants Preach to be her manager.

Layla is scrolling through social media. She sees all of the pictures from Grace’s party. A girl from rehab then knocks on the door and asks for a place to stay. Layla invites her in.

Crenshaw and Beverly are ready to go. Montes steps forward and tells them that Spencer’s speech went viral. This made other teams take a knee. South Crenshaw is still in the running for the national championship.

Olivia is driving home, and a cop gets behind her. He pulls her over, and she calls her mom. Two boys on scooters are there watching. The cop pulls up alongside her, stares her down, and then he drives away.
