4. Genera+ion Season 1 Episode 5 — The Photoshoot

Unlike Chester, who was born to be the center of attention, Greta isn’t too fond of the spotlight, which makes her impromptu photoshoot with Riley that much sweeter. After letting them dress her up in a truly iconic top hat ensemble, Greta lets Riley snap some photos of her by the pool, and her discomfort soon dissipates behind Riley’s camera.

“I usually hate getting my picture taken,” Greta tells Riley. “But not by you.” It’s clear Riley not only sees the beauty in Greta but helps Greta see it in herself, too. If that’s not couple goals, I don’t know what is.

3. Genera+ion Season 1, Episode 2 — The Lockdown

When we’re first introduced to Riley and Greta, there are clear archetypes at play: Riley is the cool and confident one, while Greta is more introverted and reserved. The show, however, quickly turns these tropes on their head in the second episode, adding a newer layer of depth to these characters — and their relationship.

Riley, who struggles with anxiety, begins to panic during a school lockdown. Greta immediately recognizes this and comforts her by using an old trick her mom taught her: rubbing circles on her hand and saying a Spanish nursery rhyme. This is one of their first real interactions, and it’s such a beautiful way to show their connection start to blossom.
