One of the most star-studded and highly-anticipated shows of the year is no doubt Nine Perfect Strangers. Based on the thrilling novel by Liane Moriarty and led by a slew of A-listers, the series is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

What is Nine Perfect Strangers about?

The series takes place at a luxurious 10-day health retreat that promises unprecedented results to various ailments. Some of its attendees want to get in better shape, some are looking to heal from trauma, and some don’t particularly want to be there at all.

However, the experience quickly evolves into something nobody expected when retreat leader Masha’s methods get more and more extreme and unconventional. The question soon becomes not whether they’ll leave better than before but rather whether they’ll be able to leave at all.

The cast of is stacked. On the retreat staff side, there’s Nicole Kidman, who stars as the brilliant (and maybe slightly unhinged) retreat leader Masha, as well as Tiffany Boone (playing skeptical Delilah) and The Good Place favorite Manny Jacinto (in the role of loyal Yao).

And in terms of our “strangers,” Melissa McCarthy plays romance writer Francis, Regina Hall is harried single mother Carmel, and Bobby Cannavale is gruff yet layered Tony. Michael Shannon, Asher Keddie, and Grace Van Patten play a family dealing with grief, and Samara Weaving and Melvin Gregg are our couple grappling with marital issues. Rounding out the main cast is Luke Evans, who plays health retreat junky Lars.
