Emily Osment stars in an upcoming Netflix sitcom called Pretty Smart. Osment, who you probably recognize from other sitcoms like Disney’s Hannah Montana and Freeform‘s Young & Hungry is back for another sweet comedy that looks extra sweet. Watch the official trailer and find out when it releases!

Osment co-stars in the new series with another Disney actor, Gregg Sulkin (Wizards of Waverly Place). While most of the new content releasing in October will be aimed toward horror fans and those seeking spooky fare for the Halloween season, Pretty Smart sets itself apart by being a colorful and lighthearted sitcom. It’s perfect for anyone that doesn’t really like creepy stuff.

Pretty Smart centers on Chelsea (Osment), who is unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend and forced to move in with her sister, Claire (Olivia Macklin) and her three goofy roommates on the West Coast. Among them is Grant (Sulkin), a distractingly handsome personal trainer, a former lawyer turned healer Solana (Cinthya Carmon) and social media influencer Jayden (Michael Hsu Rosen).

But while most of the trailer paints a happy portrait of a fun comedy, it does look like there will be some roadblocks and obstacles as Chelsea and Claire try to bond. Sometimes Chelsea’s judgmental exterior pushes people away, and she’s surprised as she settles into her new home, and they start to form an unlikely found family.

The series consists of ten 30-minute episodes. Jack Dolgen (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Doug Mand (How I Met Your Mother) serve as creators, executive producers, and co-showrunners. Kourtney Kang, Pamela Fryman, Jim Brandon, and Brian Singleton also executive produce.
