What’s new on Netflix October 2021
MAID
Streaming Oct. 1
Starring real-life mother and daughter duo Margeret Qualley and Andie MacDowell, Maid is inspired by Stephanie Land’s memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive. This 10-episode comedy-drama miniseries chronicles a single mother who tries to make ends meet by working as a housekeeper and battling against poverty and bureaucracy. Nick Robinson also stars.
ON MY BLOCK SEASON 4
Streaming Oct. 4
The fourth and final season of On My Block returns this month, picking up right after that surprise two-year time jump that occurred during the Season 3 epilogue. In the 10-episode season, the friends have gone their separate ways and are no longer talking to each other. But when a big secret is unburied, they quickly realize they’ll need to stick together to survive. Netflix also recently announced they had ordered a spinoff series featuring a new core four.
