Hawkeye is already halfway through airing, but there are sure to be plenty more surprises in store for the back half of the first season! In addition to showcasing favorite characters like Clint and the Barton family, the show has also introduced new faces like Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, Vera Farmiga as her mother Eleanor, and the terrifying Echo.

One of the most exciting parts of the large, ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe is the endless possibility for crossovers and cameos. Natasha (may she rest in peace) was famously one of Hawkeye’s best friends and has been mentioned on the show numerous times already. Is it possible her adoptive parents Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz) and Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour) could make an appearance, too? Read on to find out!

Florence Pugh will reprise her role as Yelena in Hawkeye

Florence Pugh, who made her MCU debut as Natasha’s sister Yelena Belova in Black Widow, is confirmed to be making an appearance in the series. The Black Widow post-credits scene showed La Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) asking Yelena if she wanted to get revenge on Hawkeye — the man who killed her sister. Who’s to say the revenge-seeking won’t turn into a family affair?

Yelena’s appearance is sure to shake things up. The addition of Melina and Alexei into the mix would make things even more complicated — and dangerous — for Clint.

Marvel is known for pulling off surprises — Hawkeye will likely be no exception

Everyone knows Marvel loves their surprises. From [Eternals spoiler!] Harry Styles showing up as Thanos’ brother in the Chloe Zhao post-credit scene to the Pietro and White Vision surprises in Wandavision to the introduction of Echo in Hawkeye, Marvel lives for a good shocker. An appearance by Weisz and Harbour would be a wild — and fitting — one.

Weisz and Harbour have signed on for more MCU projects

It was announced earlier this year that both Weisz and Harbour have signed on to be available for more Marvel projects. Marvel is famously secretive and unpredictable, so that may mean we don’t see Melina and Alexei for another few years — or the wait could be just a few days away. It’s anyone’s guess!
