This Is Us season 6 episode 14: Sophie arrives

The single Pearson sibling catches the glance of the wedding singer, played by Katie Lowes, and is clearly enchanted by her to a degree. But when Randall comes up to talk to him, Senator Pearson calls out The Manny for keeping his eyes glued to the door waiting for Sophie to walk through it.

Kevin says there is nothing for his brother to worry about, but when Sophie walks in his demeanor changes.

As Kevin is making his way back to his hotel room, he runs into his uncle Nicky. His uncle gives him some words of wisdom about love.

He explains how taking a break is not the worst thing for his nephew, and that he could try being with someone he has a good connection with. At that moment, Cassidy arrives and asks for help getting out of her annoying and fancy dress.

She decides to do so in Kevin’s hotel room. Here, Cassidy explains how she needs to find someone but does not continue to bother Kevin with this kind of stuff.

He objects to her assumption because he is never bothered by her. He throws out the idea that maybe they could be good together.

Cassidy, with a much more solid head on her shoulders, sees how they are not good for each other in a romantic sense, but perfectly compatible as best friends. On the morning of Kate and Phillip’s wedding, Kevin wakes up alone after going to bed alone.

The clues of a love affair are present, but Beth and Madison’s assumptions were wrong.

This Is Us season 6 episode 14: Kevin’s happy ending

During the reception, Randall pokes at his brother wondering what he got up to last night. After Kevin explains everything, Randall says the world doesn’t make sense, except for him and Sophie.

While this is going on, Rebecca explains to a sad-looking Sophie how her 20-year-old Kevin is an idiot and not ready for her. However, he will be one day and if Sophie can wait, Rebecca is confident her son will make her happy.

Sophie and Kevin sit aside from everyone during the reception where she does not allow him to give a patented Pearson speech. She explains that if she is going to fall in love with him, he has to love this new version of her.

Kevin agrees and explains how he always carried his love for her with him since they first met when he gave her a Valentine’s card. The two kiss one another, and the reception hall celebrates.
