When will Tales of The Walking Dead air on AMC?
Yes, season 11 of The Walking Dead will be its last but The Walking Dead Universe will continue to thrive thanks to a series of spin-offs. These spin-offs include Isle of the Dead which will focus on Maggie and Negan venturing to New York, the newly changed untitled Daryl spin-off (previously the Daryl and Carol spin-off), and the upcoming Tales of The Walking Dead.
Why so many spin-offs? Well, truth be told, there are a lot of stories The Walking Dead couldn’t really tell in the time allotted for each season.
For instance, we couldn’t possibly go into the whole story as to how Negan found and later took leadership of The Sanctuary when he’s in the midst of a war between Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom? We couldn’t see Alexandria’s beginnings when Rick and the group need to get adjusted to the new and established community after being betrayed by Terminus.
We didn’t get to see how Hershel and his family reacted and prepared before Rick’s group arrives because we needed to propel the plot of searching for Carol’s daughter Sophia. Thankfully Tales of The Walking Dead will probably tell stories about characters we’ve already met, perhaps heard about, and haven’t seen yet at all.
We can expect Tales of The Walking Dead to air on AMC this summer!
The series will consist of six episodes, due to air on AMC in the summer of this year. A lot of details have remained a mystery, but we do know the likes of Terry Crews, Anthony Edwards, Parker Posey, Poppy Liu, Jillian Bell, Olivia Munn, Danny Ramirez, Loan Chabanol, Embeth Davidtz, Jessie T. Usher, and Gage Munroe will be appearing.
What’s more is the leader of The Whisperer’s herself, Alpha played magnificently by Samantha Morton will be appearing in an episode. What more can we expect?
Thus far, a Tales of the Walking Dead Official Teaser has been posted to The Walking Dead YouTube Channel but unfortunately it doesn’t reveal much. Some fans might be sick of the spin-offs, others like myself, embrace them.
What stories will be told? Will there be clues as to the new walker variant The Walking Dead: World Beyond hinted at?
We look forward to finding all of that out and more in the coming months!
