Is Leia already Force-sensitive in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series?
Little princess Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair) has stolen hearts since she first appeared in episode 1 of the Disney Plus Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi. She’s already showing signs of becoming the future leader we’ve known since Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, but has she also been showing signs of the Force?
Third Sister Reva’s plan to abduct princess Leia in order to find Obi-Wan Kenobi has proven successful. Both the Jedi Master and princess have been trying to find a means to escape back to Alderaan as Inquisitors, bounty hunters and now Darth Vader himself pursue them.
By episode 3, Leia and Obi-Wan have become a formidable team after having a little bit of a rough start. Together they learning a lot about each other.
One of the things Leia is most interested in learning about is the Force and the almost extinct Jedi. Curious she asks Obi-Wan what the Force is and upon his explanation, Leia seems to understand.
Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Princess Leia is strong and determined but is she also already Force-sensitive?
What’s more is that she is able to read the very distressed Jedi Master very well. She might know the sad reality of the situation at hand but she can sense something is wrong.
Is this simply her being empathetic at a very young age or is it actually signs of her being Force-sensitive? It would be ironic that she would show signs before her brother Luke, as Obi-Wan has been watching over him since he arrived to Tatooine.
In fact, Obi-Wan has been so focused on Luke that he initially declines to help Bail Organa rescue Leia. While we still have half of Obi-Wan Kenobi left, there is still potential for this possibility to be further explored.
The question is, will others notice this as well and try to hide the truth or will this go unnoticed as she continues her destined path towards the rebellion against the Empire?
