If you have recently visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park, you may have noticed some new faces amongst the civilians living and working in Batuu. It was announced at Star Wars Celebration that beginning May 28, 2022, both Boba Fett and Fennec Shand from the Disney Plus series Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett would be arriving to Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge.

Audiences first met the mercenary Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian. Her deadly skills became most helpful, with her services aiding Mandalorian Din Djarin and bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Boba Fett needs no real introduction as he has been one of the more popular faces of Star Wars. From deadly and silent bounty hunter working under Darth Vader and Jabba the Hutt to actually becoming a Daimyo of Mos Espa, his character has undergone quite the transformation.

Star Wars Celebration also announced that Din Djarin and Grogu from The Mandalorian Disney Plus series will also be arriving to Galaxy’s Edge. But will these very popular characters also make their presence known at Galaxy’s Edge in Walt Disney World?

These Star Wars characters have arrived at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland but will they also appear at Walt Disney World?

Currently, Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World is sticking to the characters from the most recent Star Wars films of The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. This means guests would be seeing the likes of Rey and Chewbacca trying to escape Kylo Ren and the First Order Stormtroopers.

This makes sense as Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios is also the home of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the extravagant themed hotel that places guests right in the middle of their own Star Wars story. Trouble is, would guests rather see Grogu or Kylo Ren?

Would perhaps Ahsoka be a better fit than Rey? With Disney Plus ramping out Star Wars original series’ rather quickly, expanding the established universe or simply filling in the blanks the films left behind, it would make sense to appease to that demographic of audiences.

Perhaps Boba Fett and Fennec Shand are simply a test to see how well the guests respond to their presence in Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. If it proves successful then maybe we will see them at Walt Disney World and maybe characters like Rey and Kylo Ren will be switched with Ahsoka, Moff Gideon or even Luke Skywalker.

If that is the case, will the story of Batuu or even the Galactic Starcruiser change?
