5 Questions we have following The Umbrella Academy season 3
Can their powers being taken be reversed? (and should it?)
The result of their powers being taken from them could be a good or bad thing. It could be good because this means the burden they have to fix the world is no more.
Five explained it best when he stated it’s what they do because they can do so. The flip side of this, however, is the fact that Reginald looks to have endless power and influence in this new world.
It is likely safe to say that the Umbrellas are the only folks who know what Reggie is fully capable of, so that might be enough motivation to make the dysfunctional family try and find a way to regain their powers.
Are there going to be doppelgängers around?
At the start of The Umbrella Academy season 3, Five hypothesized that the Umbrella’s doppelgängers might be around. This would end up being a misdirection since all of the Umbrella’s mothers were killed by a grieving Harlan.
This world likely did not have this event occur so it is possible doppelgängers could come into play next season.
If this happens, the writers could have a lot of fun looking at each of the main characters and how nature vs nurture changed them both. Will a non-Umbrella Diego still have a stutter since Grace was not around?
Will the other Viktor be happier after not suffering the same trauma? Not to mention looking at the seven stages of paradox psychosis since only Five have presented those symptoms.
