The Walking Dead receives several Saturn Awards nominations

The Walking Dead may get continually snubbed by The Emmys but not so when it comes to the Saturn Awards. As The Walking Dead approaches Part 3 of season 11, it is now or never.

Once the series ends, it’s over. The spinoffs will live on thanks to the series but the show that started it all years ago will be complete.

While the hit AMC series has been influential both on and off the television screen, it is often ignored when it comes to award season. Truthfully, we are just as baffled as the fans are.

But rest assured, the Saturn Awards never fail to ignore the undeniable talent and creativity of the series and those involved in it. Deadline shared the full list of all the categories and nominees for this year’s Saturn Awards, which thankfully does not exclude The Walking Dead or Fear the Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead nominations are as follows:

• Horror Television Series: Network / Cable – The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead
• Actor in a Network / Cable Series – Coleman Domingo, Fear the Walking Dead 
• Supporting Actor in a Network / Cable Series – Michael James Shaw, The Walking Dead
• Supporting Actress in a Network / Cable Series – Lauren Cohan, Melissa McBride, both The Walking Dead
• Guest-Starring Performance: Network / Cable Series – Michael Biehn, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, both The Walking Dead, Aisha Tyler, Fear the Walking Dead

In the same article Deadline also shared that, “the ceremony to reveal winners is set for October 25 in an event that will be livestreamed on ElectricNOW.” We are marking our calendars now!

There is no denying that there are a lot of television series out in the world, especially as more streaming services become available. But at the end of the day The Walking Dead’s presence in media is one that cannot be replicated.
