In She-Hulk: Attorney at Law season 1 episode 5 “Mean, Green, and Straight Poured Into These Jeans”, Jennifer finds herself in the middle of a lawsuit against the superpowered influencer Titania. She needs to convince the judge how the name belongs to her while Pug and Nikki go on an adventure to help Jennifer with her clothes.

The beginning of the episode starts with Jennifer noticing Titania’s beauty ads all over town using the name She-Hulk. It gets to the point where people think she’s partnering with the influencer.

Meeting Titania herself, Jennifer and Nikki confront her about using the name She-Hulk. Of course, Titania refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing.

Wise enough to know she shouldn’t represent herself in court, Mallory becomes her lawyer. As we’ve seen in a previously released clip, Jennifer has her first day in court where Mallory argues She-Hulk is a name her client has been using well before Titania.

She goes as far to show proof through news footage. However, Jennifer has also been seen in footage denying the name.

The judge argues that unless they can prove that Jennifer has been actively using the name She-Hulk, Titania will win the case.

While discussing how she can win this case with Nikki, Jennifer realizes she has been using She-Hulk for her dating app. While it’s an extremely embarrassing idea, she decides to contact the men she went on dates with, even the one she truly liked the most.

Upon their next court date, the men all agree that Jennifer had used the name She-Hulk and used that persona during their dates. They each recount their time with her, especially the last guy who regrettably admits he’s attracted to She-Hulk and not Jennifer.

This admission hurts our main character but, in the end, this is enough evidence for her to win her case. Titania however is far from pleased and threatens that this is far from over.

While Jennifer is dealing with her case, Nikki and Pug decide to team up. Pug knows a guy, Alonzo, who can hook him up with a pair of Iron Man designed sneakers.

He’s very exclusive but incredible when it comes to fashion. Nikki, as well as everyone else, knows Jennifer needs better clothes to fit her as both herself and She-Hulk.

Together they try to find him, which includes purchasing knock-off Avengers merchandise. They are allowed to schedule an appointment upon promising that they are there for an Avenger.

Jennifer meets Alonzo as She-Hulk who he somehow doesn’t recognize or care about. Nikki still convinces him to take her on as a client to which he finally accepts.

By the end of the episode, Alonzo has several items ready for her to try on. The last few seconds reveal a sneak peek into which Marvel character will be arriving next in this series.

Placed within a beautiful hatbox appears to be Daredevil’s helmet in yellow and maroon colors.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 5 review

Titania’s motives might not be clear, but it was so satisfying to see her defeated in court. We’re curious when she and Jennifer take their fight to the streets.

The episode transitioned well, although it was hard to watch Jennifer become heartbroken yet again by hearing how She-Hulk is the persona her dates are attracted to. I guess men are attracted to strong women as long as they are superheroes.

But the everyday strong woman? Nope.

What was entertaining and heartwarming to watch was Pug and Nikki try endlessly to get their friend new clothes. Jennifer has a powerful and devoted circle so that even if her dates fail to see her for who she truly is, she will never be alone.

Besides, we have some theories who might be the one to steal her heart as both personas. Now that it has been revealed that Daredevil is arriving to the series, we’re curious when Jennifer or She-Hulk will meet him and his secret identity Matt Murdock.
