She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 6 titled “Just Jen” has our hero taking the role of a bridesmaid for a wedding while having to deal with Titania’s taunts. Meanwhile, Nikki and Mallory work together on a case involving a man who never dies and the several women and one man he fooled.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 6 recap – Mr. Immortal

While Jennifer is off to be a bridesmaid for a wedding taking place on a Thursday, Nikki and Mallory work on a divorce case together. However, this isn’t any ordinary divorce case.

The man asking for divorce calls himself Mr. Immortal. Apparently, he can never die.

Due to this, he had chosen to marry and divorce/fake his own death to several women and one man throughout the years. Understandably his scorned partners want retribution.

Nikki and Mallory know this won’t be an easy case, especially considering Mr. Immortal is very vain and superficial. Thankfully the women are able to make a deal that satisfies everyone, with each partner receiving what they feel they deserve.

Whether it be money or an actual meaningful apology. The case is a success and both women manage to celebrate while also taking one step closer to being friends.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 6 recap – The Wedding

Jennifer receives a very over-the-top invitation (we’re talking confetti and glitter) to be a bridesmaid for an old high school classmate. She is confused as to why she was asked to be a bridesmaid as she hadn’t spoken to the bride-to-be, Lulu, in years.

All the same she attends as She-Hulk, garnering a lot of attention immediately. Lulu, the typical bridezilla, does not want Jennifer to be She-Hulk at her wedding.

Which is odd because then why did she ask Jennifer to be a bridesmaid then? Anyway, this is probably the one time Jennifer actually wants to embrace her She-Hulk form.

Things take a turn for the worse when Titania shows up claiming to be dating one of the groomsmen. The scene from the early released clip unfolds as Titania and Lulu accuse Jennifer of making everything about herself (this was still painful to watch).

But as Jennifer cools off outside, she meets Josh, a young man, also without a date. As the wedding goes into full swing Jennifer finds herself corralled into doing almost anything the other bridesmaids don’t want to do.

Add to it she winds up paired up with her groomsmen, a tiny dog named Jonathan. At the reception Jennifer drinks until Josh finds her (it was a cash bar).

Definitely a little drunk Jennifer admits how happy she is now that she’s successful, but everyone doesn’t believe her if she’s not married or dating. As she proceeds to puke outside, Titania shows up wanting to fight.

Jennifer turns into She-Hulk and pretty much defeats Titania with ease in front of the wedding party. As everyone films the event Titania makes a scene and leaves.

When Lulu sees Jennifer as She-Hulk she unexpectedly gets excited instead of angry. Must be due to all the drinks.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 6 recap – How to kill a She-Hulk

As Jennifer is enjoying the rest of the evening with Josh, Nikki and Mallory celebrate their victory when a website link pops up. Upon further inspection it seems there are sites and videos about how to kill She-Hulk.

Nikki is alarmed by this however Mallory doesn’t think Jennifer needs to know. Nikki calls and leaves Jennifer a voicemail about it anyway.

The episode ends with what appears to be a secret lab working on a needle strong enough to pierce She-Hulk skin. But why?

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 1 Episode 6 review

Like episodes prior, audiences learn more about Jennifer’s life as both herself and She-Hulk. While this is very different approach to what we are normally used to regarding Marvel heroes or villains, I honestly like it.

Not everything needs to be saving the world. It can just be simple, everyday drama and troubles.

Watching She-Hulk fight Titania was so satisfying. Especially considering it didn’t work in Titania’s favor.

I thought for sure she was going to play victim followed by this dramatic She-Hulk fall out but thankfully it didn’t happen. At least not yet.

What I find particularly brilliant is the fact that we don’t know who the secret villain is. We’ve been introduced to a multitude of characters from Mallory to Drew (Pug), to Titania and Holliway.

Is the villain a guy she had a failed date with? Could it be someone we haven’t even met yet?

Someone is watching her. Someone is trying to or already has collected her DNA.

We only have a few episodes left and we have yet to see Jennifer meet Matt Murdock AKA: Daredevil. To be honest, this would have been a great episode to introduce him.

Regardless we look forward to the next episode and hope that this time Titania stays away from She-Hulk.
