Catch up here on everything from the last episode!
The tenth episode begins on Narkina 5 with Ulaf’s deceased body being removed. Privately, “Keef Girgo” tries to convince Kino Loy their escape needs to be done the next day.
Andor tries using reasonable logic by informing Loy their plan only works when a new man comes in. He decrees he would rather die fighting them than die giving them what they want.
When Cassian and Kino return to the bunks, the other prisoners are asking loads of questions about Ulaf. Andor begins telling them all the details.
Eventually, Kino screams out, “Nobody is getting out!” which sends a sobering message to his fellow inmates.
Andor season 1 episode 10: Mon seeks out help for her rebellious funds
At the Imperial Security Bureau offices, Dedra Meero is admiring their plan to take out a rebel pilot that works for Anto Kreegyr. Major Partagaz arrives and they make a new addendum to their plan to investigate this pilot’s death since that is exactly what the ISB would do.
The next morning in the Imperial prison, Kino Loy speaks up and explains he sees himself as already dead, so he has nothing else to lose. Meanwhile on Ferrix, Maarva is getting some special medical attention as Cinta watches on from afar, waiting for Cassian to return home.
In Coruscant, Mon Mothma and Tay Colman are meeting with Davo Sculdun, the thug of a banker that will help Mon with her secret Rebellion bank accounts. The three of them dance around their moral differences before they get down to business about Davo helping Mon move her money without the Empire noticing.
Davo is more than willing to help but does not want any monetary payment, which worries Mon. Davo’s fee is that he is invited to return here again, but this time he brings his adolescent son to meet Mon’s daughter.
After Mon is repulsed, she politely asks Davo to leave. Over at Luthen Rael’s shop, Kleya informs him that some spy clues were left for him around the city.
Rael explains it has been a year since he heard from “him”, so it was only a matter of time. Kleya tries to go herself, but Luthen refuses to let her go.
Andor season 1 episode 10: The Escape from Narkina Five
Now that their day shift has begun, Cassian and his fellow inmates are putting the final touches on their plan to escape. Cassian is in the bathroom messing with some sort of hydraulic pipe, likely for the elevator, as the rest of the prisoners get machinery pieces to use as weapons.
As the guards bring the new prisoner down, Cassian has already broken the water pipe leading to water spilling out into the work area. As the elevator drops, their plan goes into action.
Cassian and the other prisoners begin fighting the guards and chaos ensues on level five. The guards behind the glass try to fry the floor so Kino tells everyone to get on their work tables.
As the floor is turned on, however, it short circuits due to the water from the bathroom, meaning the one tool the guards used as intimidation is null and void. The prisoners of this floor break out of their working room and make their way through the halls.
Unfortunately, some prisoners are taken out by the guards’ blasters. Eventually, Kino and Cassian make it to the control center and take out the power for the entire prison.
Kino gets on the haunting intercom and explains how they are the ones in control now, not the Empire. He reiterates the same talking points Cassian and the other members of Unit 52D have stated and motivate the inmates to escape.
This leads to a facility-wide escape through the gates they entered in. Although Kino Loy does not know how to swim, all of the other escaping prisoners begin swimming to safety.
Andor season 1 episode 10: Luthen Rael demands commitment
Walking through the slums of Coruscant, Supervisor Lonni Jung reveals himself to be working with Luthen Rael and the Rebellion. Jung finds a communication device in an elevator and talks with Rael about everything Meero has discovered about “Axis” and Aldhani.
After the elevator arrives at the top, Lonni Jung tries to back out of his agreement with Luthen Rael, but the man they call Axis does not let him go. He subtly threatens and explains that Lonni is not leaving because the job is not done.
When Lonni Jung asks what Luthen sacrificed, Rael monologues about how his whole plan is so the future will be bright even though he will never see it. Luthen has sacrificed everything for the Rebellion so his enemies will surely be taken out.
The episode ends with Cassian Andor and Melshi running through the nearest land to Narkina Five as escaped prisoners.
How will Cassian regroup with his family on Ferrix? Do you think Luthen is being too strict by not letting a father back out?
Will Kino Loy jump out of Narkina and try to swim? Let us know your answers and opinions in the comments below!
