Netflix’s Stranger Things Holiday Gift Guide of 2022
By Joel Leonard
2022 was a good year to be a fan of Stranger Things. The fourth season of the mega hit series on Netflix returned to rave reviews, breaking viewership records along the way.
Unfortunately, we’ve learned that it will be a little while before we get to go back to Hawkins as the next season isn’t likely to premiere until the summer of 2024. But if you want to keep the Stranger Things fan in your life happy this holiday season, here is a quick guide for what you might want to get them.
9. Stranger Things Novels
The Stranger Things franchise has expanded beyond just the television series. A series of novels has been released to go alongside the show as the series has gotten bigger and bigger.
Priced all together at $33.97, these novels are designed to fill in the gaps of the story between the events on the show for fans who are hungry for more stories set in Hawkins and The Upside Down. At least five full length novels have been released, with even more if you count short story collections and graphic novels.
There’s plenty of material to dive into for the Stranger Things fan that loves to read.

8. Lite Brite
The classic 1980s toy got its moment to shine this year in Stranger Things. The characters were able to use the Lite Brite to communicate with those who were trapped in the Upside Down.
While Lite Brite has been fairly available ever since it first hit toy shelves all those years ago, it’s easy to see why there’s going to be more of them sold this holiday season than in years past. To capitalize on the surge in popularity of Lite Brites’, a special Stranger Things edition of the toy has been released.
Priced at $19.99 the toy includes 12 different templates for you to be able to create different Stranger Things-themed pieces of light art.

5. Stranger Things: Worlds Turned Upside Down
It’s a little bit older, having been released back in 2018, but it’s still one of the best resources for learning all about behind-the-scenes of the show. This book covers the first two seasons of the series with full color pictures and concept art.
The book, priced at $31.63 (hardcover edition) even has an intentionally used appearance, making it look like the perfect book from the 1980s that you would have discovered in an old second hand bookstore. Music played a big part in the narrative of season four, so the soundtrack is the perfect companion piece for the latest season. Obviously, the album includes Running Up The Hill (A Deal With God) by Kate Bush, but it also includes Metallica’s Master of Puppets as well as the other tracks from the 1980s that helped to define this latest season.

2. Dungeons & Dragons Essentials Kit
There’s no question that Stranger Things has been a big factor in the rise in popularity that Dungeon & Dragons has been experiencing over the past several years. So, if you know somebody who’s been loving Stranger Things and is curious about giving D&D a try, this starter set, for $18.99, has everything you need for your very first adventure.
There was actually a Stranger Things version of the D&D starter set that was released a few years ago to help build that bridge for curious fans. But today it’s hard to get your hands on it.
So, the standard Essentials Kit might be the best way to go. Still if you want to make your D&D a little more Stranger Things-centric, you can get Vecna Lives!
The adventure features Vecna, the main villain of the fourth season of Stranger Things. (Please be aware that Vecna Lives! is designed to be played with the second edition of D&D and most modern D&D adventures are based on the current 5th edition.)
(To play this adventure you will need to find older rulebooks or use the internet to find tips on how to update older adventures for the modern editions.)
