As Marvel films continue the stories of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), the Marvel series’ seem to fill in some blanks as they arrive to Disney Plus. A lot of talking has been happening amongst fans about Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, with one rumor regarding a character from Hawkeye making an appearance.

But how true is this rumor? There is relatively no definitive proof at the moment that Kate Bishop will be appearing in the next Ant-Man film.

However, the tweet shared by Twitter account Marvel Updates, mentioning as much, caused quite a stir. Initially, it does seem odd to have Kate be in the same film as Ant-Man, the Wasp, and Kang the Conqueror as Marvel films recently seem to have dived into the consequences of messing around with time and space.

However, an article by Fandom Wire, does make a valid point as to why, Kate would fit in well with the upcoming Marvel film. “Someone like Val, or whoever is handling the Young Avengers unit (maybe Clint and Lyla together) could send Kate Bishop to recruit Cassie Lang. And together, they could become joint leaders of a team that includes America Chavez, Riri Williams, Kamala Khan, Eli Bradley, Kid Loki (probably), Skaar (again probably), Nathaniel Richards, and older Billy & Tommy when they arrive in Agatha: Coven of Chaos.”

Could Kate Bishop from Hawkeye play a role in the next Ant-Man film?

The Marvel films have long since transitioned from the focus of The Avengers and have spent more time on developing newer characters. Some quite unfamiliar to the Marvel fanbase.

Marvel isn’t phasing out superheroes we know and love but simply introducing new ones to follow in the footsteps of those like Iron Man and Hawkeye. After all, we’ve already seen that Sam Wilson has become the new Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Thor continues to be a force for good and The Guardians of the Galaxy are still doing what they do best. The idea that Kate, Kamala, Riri and possibly Scott’s (Ant-Man) daughter Cassie, amongst others, come together as a new Avengers group doesn’t seem implausible.

But we’re curious, what do you think?
