Is it really a surprise that The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus didn’t bring home a People’s Choice Award this year? Not really.

Fans of the AMC series are quite used to this kind of disappointment. Time and time again, the stellar performances by nearly the entire cast are always often ignored and denied recognition when it comes to award shows.

Except for a select few, including the Saturn Awards. Reedus, who has been playing the role of Daryl Dixon since season 1, was nominated for The Male TV Star of 2022 and The Drama TV Star of 2022.

The competition is always fierce however, there comes a point where you can’t help but wonder why this repeatedly happens. Repeatedly…

The series has been one the air since 2010, this is inexcusable. Before I get carried away, there is a silver lining to all this.

Yes, The Walking Dead is no more but the Daryl Dixon spinoff is about to begin. In fact, all three Walking Dead spinoffs; Dead City, Daryl Dixon and Rick and Michonne are scheduled to arrive to AMC next year.

Unless the Daryl Dixon spinoff receives more than one season, this may be Norman’s last chance to take home any type of television award. At least until he works in another television show.

This also means that Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Negan and Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick Grimes could also be in the running for television award nominations as well. Wouldn’t that be something!

All three powerhouse male actors from The Walking Dead nominated for back-to-back for awards? Now that is something I can get behind!

If all three do get nominated for a People’s Choice Award, who do you think will bring home the trophy?
