With only two aired episodes, The Last of Us will be renewed for a season 2. The first episode brought in a total amount of 4.7 million viewers the night it aired.

Upon the airing of the second episode, there was a 22% increase. I expect those numbers to keep going up as each episode of The Last of Us gets better and better.

It now trails behind House of the Dragon and Boardwalk Empire. The works of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey has taken HBO Max and the world by storm.

The world is welcoming Joel and Ellie into their hearts, and it wants much, much, more. Thankfully it has now been confirmed that that wish will be granted.

As of now the series has scored a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Neil Druckmann hinted that they would be wasting no time jumping into the story of The Last of Us: Part 2.

It will be interesting to see how much of the game’s story will be applied on air. ComingSoon shared Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin’s thanks and gratitude to each other and the fans for all of their current support for The Last of Us.
