Will Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 air in 2024?
With the recent reveal that Stranger Things season 5 will begin filming this June, you’d think that’d be all the news we have about the hit Netflix series. Nope.
Turns out we may have more to dive into. Although this has yet to be officially confirmed, the Twitter account Stranger News has once again shared another interesting update.
According to the tweet, “Final Season: Vol 1. 2024”, Stranger Things will be airing part 1 of season 5 next year. Within the tweet is an image of the group looking out at the horrific Upside Down, which has seemingly taken over most of Hawkins.
There are a few surprising things to note in this image. The first and most obvious is Mike and Will holding hands.
Is the image a clue about what will happen in Stranger Things season 5?
As fans recall, Will is in love with Mike, his best friend. However, he isn’t brave enough to tell him as Mike is dating Eleven.
Is Stranger News implying the two best friends become more in the final season? Speaking of Eleven, she is the closest to the danger in the group.
We already speculated that she will have to kill Vecna on her own, but that won’t stop her friends from trying to help. Jumping to that, in the image we can see a bunch of the core characters from the show, however Dustin, Lucas, Max, Steve, Robin even Argyle and Murray are all missing.
What could that mean? Dedicated fans have been wondering and worrying if one of the core characters won’t be surviving until the end of the series.
If that becomes the case, is the image implying all seven characters won’t survive? We reiterate that this image and the news has not been confirmed, as of the release of this article.
We consider this a rumor until we hear otherwise. But we wouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to be true.
You can catch up on the current four seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix.
