Will Din Grogu be the first Force-sensitive Mandalorian?
Sadly, The Mandalorian season 3 has come to a close with a stellar and unbelievable season finale. Moff Gideon has hopefully been defeated once and for all, including his clones, Mandalore is officially on track to becoming a home for Mandalorians once again and Din Djarin can finally have a place to call his own, while officially becoming Din Grogu’s adoptive father.
What’s more is that Grogu now has a new name, Din Grogu, becoming Mando’s apprentice. While this moment has answered a lot of burning questions, it does raise an entirely new question: is Din Grogu the first Force-sensitive Mandalorian?
Our guess is, yes. But you’re probably wondering why this is such a big deal? Well, because up until The Mandalorian series, Jedi and Mandalorians essentially hated each other.
Just recently, Mando’s point of view of not only droids but Jedi, has changed. Even his own opinion on Mandalorians who do not follow the creed has changed upon meeting Bo-Katan.
What Din Grogu’s new title means for Jedi and Mandalorians
While the two groups still have very different lifestyles and viewpoints, they are at least accepting of each other. Where Jedi bring in children who are Force-sensitive to begin their training, Mandalorians often rescue children from their situations, who can then follow suit.
This has been the case for both groups for years, but has Mandalore rescued and accepted a Force-sensitive child into their home before? Even unknowingly?
Considering Grogu is already Force-sensitive, has trained with Luke Skywalker and proven the growth in his Force abilities, he could now be the first Force-sensitive Mandalorian. He may become the one being who can truly bring both Jedi and Mandalorians together, as he walks both paths.
He could also become the most powerful Mandalorian due to his Force abilities. We saw for ourselves how his efforts aided Din Djarin in the fight against three Praetorian Guards.
Does this mean Din Grogu is unstoppable? We’ll have to see how he juggles both the Force and his Mandalorian skills when the Disney Plus series returns next season.
