With Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story a little over a week away, fans have been craving more details about the Bridgerton spinoff. Serving as a prequel to Bridgerton, the Netflix show will dive into the story of how the future Queen Charlotte and King George met, fell in love, and changed the course of history forever.
They won’t be alone as younger versions of Lady Agatha Danbury and Violet Bridgerton will also be present. Recently the official Bridgerton Twitter account shared a video, providing fans with a closer look at what’s to come, featuring more scenes from the spinoff and insight from some of the cast themselves.
From the brief video, we can clearly see a different world than that of Bridgerton, however the drama will always be timeless. Women will always be pressured to please their husbands, as well as be the perfect embodiment of a wife and bear a lot of children.
They have little power or voice for the matter. The highlight of the spinoff will be the depths of which audiences will get to know Queen Charlotte, Agatha and Violet in their younger years.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story: How does Queen Charlottle and King George’s romance develop?
These distinguished and loyal women are each very established in the Bridgerton series. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if their pasts are what shapes them into the women, we come to know years later.
The character with the most mystery surrounding him will be King George, as the poor man is ill and unstable when we meet him in Bridgerton. Were there early signs of this unfortunate fate in his youth?
Was his illness hidden from Charlotte when their marriage was arranged? Aside from the fate we know befalls on George, it is amusing to see his relationship with Charlotte grow from his gifts of small dogs to their undeniable passion.
How will George and Charlotte’s relationship differ from ones we’ve seen before in Bridgerton? We’ll just have to wait until May 4 to find out!
