Rennervations Season 1 Episode 4 recap: India: Buidling a Mobile Water Treatment Center

The fourth and final episode of Rennervations season 1 has aired! As expected, Jeremy Renner is taking his creative mind and big heart to India to provide clean water to those in need.

Will the project be completed in time? Which celebrity will be the guest star of this episode?

Rennervations Season 1 Episode 4 recap – The Task

The episode opens with Jeremy Renner and his business partner Rory in India, attempting to drive while taking in the views of the country. For this episode, Indian celebrity Anil Kapoor known for his work in Slumdog Millionaire, 24 and Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol, has arrived and will actually be present in the majority of the episode.

This is refreshing considering the other celebrity guests arrived for reveal day. A big issue that India is facing is a clean water shortage.

A majority of the water is not deemed safe to drink, however most drink it anyway as opposed to dehydration. This is especially difficult for children, many of whom are making the time and effort to receive a decent education.

Renner works specifically with the nonprofit organization Uva Jagriti Sansthan, in the hopes to deliver clean and drinkable water for the communities. This can be difficult as many of the communities are spread out.

But Jeremy has the perfect idea to solve this problem.

Rennervations Season 1 Episode 4 recap – The Build

As Jeremy and Rory are in India, they will not be able to use the usual team for this build. Instead, they will have a team based in India.

By taking an old delivery truck, they hope to transform it into a Mobile Water Treatment Center. They will split the truck into three parts: an area to store the water tanks, the filtration system and an entertainment area in the back.

Unlike previous builds on the show, the Indian team are only really given two weeks to complete the task. This puts a lot of the team on edge and yes, some arguments in Hindu ensue.

The issue is being able to fit the water tank and filtration system into the truck, which thankfully the filtration system should have a lifespan of up to 10 years. Like previous episodes, we get a little bit of a closer look into the members of the team and the projects they themselves have worked on in the past.

But even with the brutal Indian heat, the team is able to work efficiently. As the team builds the Water Treatment Center, Renner does what he does best, interacting with the kids.

He learns just how unsafe the drinking water has become and how it affects the students. He, of course, makes time to play a few games with them, which includes baseball.

Rennervations Season 1 Episode 4 recap – The Reveal

Reveal day has all the kids overjoyed at the prospect of having clean drinkable water! The team is able to take the stored unclean water, filter it through the filtration system and produce drinkable water.

Anil arrives to show off the entertainment section which includes a flatscreen TV and music sure to get the kiddos pumped! The nonprofit organization is thankful to Jeremy and the team for making such an impact on the country.

Rennervations Season 1 Episode 4 review

While the entertainment area left a lot to be desired, the important parts of the project; creating clean drinkable water was a success! Every project Renner has tackled this season provides some benefit to children.

For someone who has never been to India and only hears of the troubles, which includes the clean water shortage, this episode was truly a tearjerker. I hope that either Renner or another person with the means and knowhow, will create more of these Mobile Water Treatment Centers, not just in India but worldwide.

Clean water may sound so simple and obvious but it’s surprising to know how many people do not have access to it. I truly hope Rennervations is renewed for another season or more and that Renner and his team will be able to make more positive changes and differences for children.
