While the official trailer for The Walking Dead: Dead City has yet to arrive, fans recently got to enjoy the release of a new teaser trailer. The teaser trailer reveals Negan and Maggie reuniting on rather unpleasant terms, before venturing to a walker-ridden Manhattan.

Add to it some very quick cut scenes of what looks like a fighting ring, Negan and Maggie above a room swarmed with walkers, dead bodies or walkers in tanks, and of course, what remains of The Big Apple, and we got ourselves quite the spinoff to look forward to. The Walking Dead: Dead City will be the first of three scheduled Walking Dead spinoffs (Daryl Dixon and currently named, Summit), to air with the premiere date of June 18.

Filming for the spinoff occurred mostly in New Jersey from the summer and fall of 2022. Locations included a motel, gorgeous home, an abandoned bank and the cities of Newark and Paterson.

Was every location used for the spinoff? We look forward to finding out next month!

What details were revealed in the new The Walking Dead: Dead City teaser trailer?

As the air date gets closer, fans begin to wonder when the official trailer will be unveiled and what details will be uncovered. This includes the whereabouts of Negan’s wife Annie and their child, who The Croat is, why Manhattan was the chosen destination for the duo and will this spinoff be greenlit for season 2.

Rumors and theories will continue to emerge but perhaps the events that will unfold will surprise even the most devoted of fans. In the meantime, all 11 seasons of The Walking Dead are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
