The engagement news brings happiness to the entire family, except for William, who seems displeased. He confides in Anna about receiving suspicious text messages and she promises to handle it.
Surprisingly, Anna also teases William about continuing their affair despite her engagement.

Anna confronts Peggy about the text messages, but Peggy denies any involvement. Unfortunately, Jay intervenes and meets Peggy as well, much to Anna’s dismay.
During the engagement party, Anna helps William investigate whether his colleague is behind the messages, but it appears unlikely. The unknown texter also pressures William to confess before Ingrid’s speech, creating a tense moment.
However, nothing happens, and Ingrid remains unaware of the affair. Elizabeth, Anna’s mother, attends the party and quickly notices William’s angry reaction, warning him.
She also comments on the resemblance between Jay and Anna’s brother, Aston, which Anna tries to divert.

After the party, Anna takes control and replies to the mystery texter using William’s phone, claiming that he didn’t do anything wrong. However, Sally eventually confesses to Anna that she was the one behind the messages.
Sally discovered a diary entry in her dad’s pocket and mistakenly believed that he wrote it. However, Anna clarified that the entry was actually hers.
Anna uses her diary to write about her experiences with sex as a way to understand and deal with them. But the entry did not mention William.
Anna then revealed that William had the diary because he found it and promised to give it back to her. Anna has always kept Jay at a distance to maintain her secrets.
However, Jay becomes suspicious when he meets Peggy again and she warns him not to dig into certain matters as Anna advised.
