What happens in the Good Omens season 2 official trailer?
Did you hear the news? Gabriel is missing, I mean…the Good Omens season 2 trailer is officially here!
Wait, the archangel Gabriel is missing from Heaven and he’s on Earth? Not just anywhere on Earth but Aziraphale’s bookshop specifically.
But why? Well, it seems he has amnesia and doesn’t know why he’s on Earth.
Oh and he’s naked. He came to Aziraphale’s bookshop hoping being around people he knows, aka Aziraphale, will trigger his memories.
What does the Good Omens season 2 trailer reveal?
But while he is missing, both Heaven and Hell are losing their minds. It seems both Aziraphale and Crowley are far from Heaven and Hell’s good graces.
Which given the season 1 finale, it’s understandable. So, what does Gabriel’s disappearance and memory loss mean?
Well, we’re thinking our theory about season 2 might be true. In religious context, it is the archangel Gabriel who announces the end of the world by blowing his trumpet.
The end of the world, in which The Rapture occurs, includes the dead rising from their graves. After watching the trailer, we’re beginning to wonder if Aziraphale’s action in deciding to hide Gabriel will result in the end of the world.
Even he believes he begins a war. This could mean, once again, he and Crowley will have unwillingly and accidentally brought about another apocalypse.
I mean what could be funnier than that? Aside from that, it looks like the comedic best buddy duo time travel as we get several scenes of them dressed rather dapperly and chaotic action scenes involving car chases.
Good Omens season 2 airs on Amazon Prime Video on July 28. In the meantime, you can watch the official trailer below!
