It seemed that Troy Otto met his demise back in Fear the Walking Dead season 3 at the hands of Madison Clark. The psychopath’s skull was brutally bashed in for justice for his part in the annihilation of Broke Jaw Ranch.

He was responsible for the horde that overran his livelihood. And if he couldn’t have what his family worked for, then neither could Madison.

He took his need for leadership too far. It was not only the demise of his home but his reign as well…or so we thought.

Rumors have been circulating for months about the impending return of Troy Otto, ever since a behind-the-scenes photo surfaced with Daniel Sharman’s Troy Otto chair on set. Rumor no more because AMC has now released the teaser, with all the evidence fans have been waiting for.

It remains to be seen how long Troy will stick around or if he survives, but he is back, and fans of Fear the Walking Dead can rejoice.

“No one’s gone until they’re gone.”

Troy’s reveal will mark the second character of the season who has returned from the dead. The first was Madison Clark, after she sacrificed herself in an explosion to save her daughter and their group.

Now the man she thought she sent to the other side will join her by defying all odds. Both characters had left on less-than-friendly terms.

The two have shared quite a tumultuous relationship. I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

Troy Otto and Madison reunite

The teaser trailer reveals little emotion coming from Madison upon seeing Troy again. She wants to know what he came back for.

Troy’s eyes seem to be on PADRE and he has another horde with him. Daniel fears that he will attack, so they need to be ready.

Madison says there is only one way to protect the island and it’s clear she doesn’t want Strand to be a part of that. Most likely, as a way to protect her friend.

Strand, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to be taking no for an answer. He can’t let Madison do this alone.

It also looks like we haven’t seen the last of Sherry and Dwight yet. They finished off the first half of the season breaking up but will bigger forces help them find their way back together again?

I’ve got a feeling Troy won’t be too thrilled to see that hammer that’s been circling around all season. This is sure to stir up some memories that he may have wanted to forget.

Fear the Walking Dead will return for its last 6 episodes on October 22. We’ve received very little information about the rest of the season.

But following the end of the strike, whenever that may be, we should see some exclusives that will pump up fans for the remainder of the season. If not, we will ride this Troy and Madison wave to the very end.

The family is back together for one last stand.
