Snap your fingers, Mattel to release Wednesday dolls and collector sets in 2024!
Big things are coming for Mattel and yes, it connects with Netflix’s hit show Wednesday. Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as the lead and eldest Addams child, takes viewers into her world, as she is forced to attend Nevermore Academy.
The academy is filled with a plethora of unique otherworldly students, who range from werewolves to gorgons, sirens, and even shapeshifters. Separated from her family, the ever-timeless but still quirky Addams Family, Wednesday finds herself as an outcast amongst her peers.
But there is more at play than just your everyday teenage drama. A series of mysterious murders have been occurring in the town of Jericho, with talks of a monster on the loose.
If that isn’t enough, Wednesday must also grapple with her visions, her relationship with her mother Morticia, and the possibility of her parents hiding a murder once committed at the academy. Between Ortega’s stellar performance, which includes witty one liners, a very dark and recognizable style and a dance that literally swept social media, a talented cast and overall compelling premise, it is no wonder Wednesday was such a success for the streaming platform.
Wednesday doll and collector sets are coming soon from Mattel
Considering Wednesday’s taste for all things gothic and her classmates own take at the genre, Mattel is going to be releasing dolls and collector sets in 2024! These dolls, inspired by Wednesday, will be released through Little People Collector and Monster High properties.
This is all thanks to Mattel’s upcoming multi-year licensing deal with Amazon MGM Studios. Keep your eyes peeled for the release of the dolls and collector sets next year on the Wednesday storefront on Amazon as well as other retailers.
We cannot wait to see what these dolls and collector’s sets will look like! Considering the exquisite detail and craftsmanship that goes into each and every Monster High Doll, both the original collection and the re-release, we have no doubt everyone will be rushing to purchase them!
Personally, we look forward to Enid’s pastel and bubbly design, with the hopes of seeing her stunning side of the window incorporated into the box art somehow. In the meantime, visit Mattel’s website where they sell a wide range of merchandise from Barbie to Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price.
You can watch Wednesday season 1 on Netflix.
