Ever since the fan-favorite FX and Hulu comedy series Adults was renewed for its second season in October 2025, the excitement and anticipation has been high for its eventual premiere. Well, all of that waiting and patience (well, impatience) has all led to the season's debut a little over year year after the show first made us all jealous we're not part of this friend group.
Adults season 2 premieres on FX and Hulu on Thursday, Aug. 27 and follows the bonus prequel episode that dropped in July. While the special episode was enough to hold us over for another month, it's finally time to catch back up with the crew in real time. After all, the first season ended with quite the shocking moment that no one saw coming.
In order to keep Paul Baker (Jack Innanen) from being deported back to Canada, he and Issa (Amita Rao) planned to get married for a green card. However, upon her cold feet, Paul Baker ended up marrying Anton (Owen Thiele) and when the newlyweds share a kiss that's a bit too intimate, Billie (Lucy Freyer) and Samir (Malik Elassal) are just as shocked as Issa.
But when can we see what happens next and how the group's dynamic changes, if at all, in the aftermath of Paul Baker and Anton's green-card marriage? We're clearing up the confusion on when Adults season 2 drops on Hulu and airs on FX with the release schedule below!
Adults season 2 releases weekly on FX, but not on Hulu
If you're choosing to watch Adults season 2 on Hulu over its traditional airing on FX, then you're in luck. All eight episodes of the second season drop at once on Hulu on Thursday, Aug. 27. There's only one downside about being able to binge-watch the episodes, though. Rather than becoming available overnight, the full season releases on Hulu at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
Depending on where you live and what time the episodes release in your area, each individual viewer will be able to watch the season differently. Maybe certain people will choose to stay up until midnight and opt to watch all eight episodes as soon as they release at 9 p.m. ET, while others will simply watch a couple episodes and dose out the rest throughout the rest of the weekend.
However, if you don't have access to Hulu (or Disney+, where the series is available with a bundle subscription) and you're watching the Adults on cable, season 2 will be released weekly. Just like with the first season, FX and FXX will air two episodes weekly on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET. In total, the season will air for four total weeks and end with the finale on Sept. 17.

Unfortunately for those who don't binge-watch Adults season 2 on Hulu upon release, they will have to avoid seeing spoilers from the season finale for a whole month. That's going to be especially difficult when the show's co-creator Ben Kronengold shared a photo of the casting reacting to the final scene of season 2. He offered this warning: "Try not to spoil for your friends who still have cable."
The official Adults social media account also teased a surprise new friend of Paul Baker's making an appearance, and that's the kind of reveal you surely won't want spoiled. But for those of us who simply can't wait, the full second season arrives on Hulu ready for us to binge-watch on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 9 p.m. ET.
